• Richard Harrison

    Richard’s On Not Losing My Father’s Ashes in the Flood won international acclaim (including a full Italian translation) and a Governor General’s Award for poetry in 2017. Author and editor of eight books, Richard teaches English and Creative Writing at Calgary’s Mount Royal University. He also leads workshops in both poetry and prose for writers across Canada.

    He’s been part of the world of pop-up poetry for over 10 years and is the founder of Typing Writers.

  • Beth Everest

    Beth Everest has won writing contests across the country, including the Alberta Magazine Publishers Association silver medal for poetry. Her books of poetry include there will be blood and i will tell you, put your hand down here (Black Moss Press) and silent sister: the mastectomy poems (Frontenac House Press). She has published essays, literary criticism, poetry and fiction, and plays.

    She has been doing pop-up poetry for over 10 years.

    When I moved to Canada and shared poetry on stage for the first time, it opened a creative tap that hasn’t stopped flowing. During this phase, I founded the Love Notes Project, I published my children’s book 'Wilbert the Worm,' a poetry book ‘Svadhyaya: A Journey of Self-Learning,’ and was also published in the poetry anthology ‘We All Breathe the Same Air,’ by Augies Bookshelf Publishing Company.
